Glamour Doll Eyes OTM July Love (and fall fail)

Okay... so this was just one of those days. I got the little one down for nap, and thought I would touch up my nails with a quick coat of Femme Fatale's Pyramids on Mars. The mail arrived, and Canada Post had brought me my OTM love. Ah ha! If one child is sleeping, perhaps I can open photograph in the sunlight! It would be AMAZING!
Yeah... so tying to get into the package I was distracted my the sounds of one child waking the other. And in stead of scissors I ripped it open, and ruined half of one of my nails.

See? :( sad panda. That's not going to look good unless I use several half coats to build it up like the other side.

The candy! Red Hots and the charm is an adorable handcuff set.

Beautiful lady on the OTM card. Paroxysm if the July colour. The TMI code is non-sharable and hidden.

What!>! A pressed shadow and a nail polish! Vee loves us.

This month had a soft felted black bag.

And... Since I thought, maybe I can go ahead and open these. The kids seem distacted. This will be okay... impending baby hand of doom.

One good picture in of the laquer and shadow.

Note, the kids were on the order side of the room when I opened these...

Only to rush me and have this happen. Parodysm every where!

Goodbye cruel world! Oh? It looks like someone has been drawing on the newly painted walls. *sigh* The childless can be so lucky at times.

So, I thought I'd scrape some off the floor and slap it on my bare skin.

And blurry for the sparkle-city.

Sad trombone sounds. :(

Okay, It's not that bad, I know. It's mostly just sad because I took a risk thinking I could do something other than child minding and it did not work out.

I love love love love love my GDE OTM, It's $15 USD (about $20 Canadian these days) and well worth it. The OTM is by waitlist, a few one month on the 8th or 10th of the month, and open to subscribe in January. I'm hoping I get a spot in 2016 but it is becoming less likely with the crazy popularity GDE has deservingly built up.

Dupes? Brown/Blue comparisons

Here I am looking for dupes. I love dual shades and brown-blue (and sparkles!) happen to be my favorites.

Make-up Geek Insomnia (~$9)
Urban Decay Solstice (~$20)
Darling Girl Sierra (~$5.90)
Backstreets Algae ($6)
My Pretty Zombie Trepanation ($5)
Glamour Doll Eyes Dinospotz ($6, discontinued)

The jars. Do note they differ in volume. All were purchased by me in the past 12 months.

I was totally expected to see some of these look exactly like each other (they have on my hand swatches!). I used these over a glitter adhesive (Glamour Doll Eyes Glitter Fix), a primer (Urban Decay Primer Potion) and bare skin.

My Pretty Zombie: Trepanation -,

Glamour Doll Eyes: Dinospotz -

Darling Girl: Sierra -

Backstreets: Algae -

Urban Decay: Solstice -

Make-up Geek: Insomnia -

I am surprised at how different these all came out. While the sheen is there, they each stand alone. Perhaps it is because the brown bases differ, or the added sparkles differ. I left these on my arm (but I am sadly too tired to add the detailed descriptions at this time) and although they rub down to a less dramatic changes, they still stand alone. Although this could be due to glitter fix drag, all but the Glamour Doll Eye shadow preform nearly identical on the UDPP as the glitter fix.

Check out the video and see if you agree I can justify having all six shades for now.

Glamour Doll Eyes Custom Pallet

I wanted to share my new pressed pallet with two of my favorite shades because it is so stinking cute! It's 3 by 3 inches and far better than my exceptions.

Here are the lovely colours! Blend.blend.blend is one of my most used shadows and I love Outie 5000. The mirror was protected by a clear sheet reminding that these are pressed shadows. My November 2014 pressed shadow from the OTM has had to been squished back together a couple times. It's a bit high maintenance but wait for the swatches!

Blend.blend.blend, Lost horizon, Outie 5000 and Bearded lady. All on bare skin.

Outside in the sun, sparkles! I love this pallet and I think I may just be picking up another. I'll be adding this to my growing Birthday Wishlist for after my shopping ban (starts again. ASAP).

This is the first time I've noticed something missing from my order so I snapped this picture. I contacted Vee and she was really nice. I asked if I could have my missing item sent with my next order (because I'm really excited about Shimmer Me, and I don't like wasting things). I'm optimistic this will resolve well.

Kiss My Sass Lip Lovers Annoymous June 2015

This is my second Kiss My Sass and Elizabeth has blown it out of the water.

I love the detailed breakdown. The value of this month is about $17.50, I paid with exchange rates $20.58 Canadian. Check out the pretty Sparkles unicrorn.

Here's the magical bag!

Unicorn candy!

Super cute, yummy unicorn candy.

All the goodies this month.

The perfume is overly sweet on first sniff but does calm down. I'll have to try it again in the morning to see if this will make it's way into my rotation.

The lip tint and creme blush are in the same shade - Body electric and it's lovely.

The Glamour Doll Eyes shadow is baby pink sparkle which will make a great highlight.

Quick swatches! Body Electric on top and Kiss My Guavas on the bottom.

I'm very pleased with this month, and I'll be keeping this subscription for another month without hesitation. Yey for post-poning my subscription cull one more month. :D

Glamour Doll Eyes OTM June 2015

What an elephant bring good news day! Thanks to the change in billing for internations, I was actually able to get my OTM before I saw any spoilers! :D

This sticker was on my invoice. It's true. My neighbours are so jelly.

The bag is deep red velvet with gold dots.

Here is my #GirlsNightOut OTM. Love!

A hair dryer charm for this month! I'm also pleased I was able to ask for and have included the angel wings charm from last month (tattooed).

A highlighter (a sheer pink gold) that is gorgeous sparkle. From the jar this looks like a pink polish my halo. I like it. I also like the throw-back sticker.

The monthly shadow - #girlsnightout is a blackened mauve with a purple/pink overlay with a blue and copper sparkle. This looks like the night out version of graves in may.

More goodies include a mirror with old school GDE designs, and a sample of the upcoming astrochrome collection.

The full package is fantastic! I'm pretty sure Vee included extra candy. I'm not entirely sure of the value this month, but I suspect it's close to double (or more) what I paid with shipping.

Because we're halfway though they year, I thought I'd pull together the first six charms.

I started to swatch and... the baby woke up. I recall the texture of this one felt different, but I can't offer more. Galaxy beyond dreams is a blackened purple and I think these are being listed later this month.

Yup, I love my GDE.
