Birchbox June 2015 'Say Yes!'

Yey! Birchbox (Canada) time! BirchBox is $14.95 per month with shipping and sends 5 sample products to test out. I'm learning the Canadian program is no where near as great at the American. However, I'm still pretty happy with the points for the store (even with paying the required duty).

Here's my pretty pink birchbox. It's interesting, they use another carrier beside Canada Post to deliver so these guys show up later in the day.

The them this month is Adventure, henve "Say Yes!".

Gorgeous wrapping and out of place image.

The card detailing the products. I like these. It's odd that sometimes the cost can help me decide if I really love a product or just like it.

Our first look inside. Hello bonus hair tie!

Bonus Emi-Jay Hair Tie, full size $13, sample value $2.60
Parlor by Jeff Chastain Sea Salt Spray, full size $27, sample value $5.50 (I used this on my kidlet and myself and it seemed to do a great job at texturizing. I had to try it again)

Naobay Cream Moisturizer, full size $45, value of sample $18. Oh no, this is super pricey and so far I'm loving. It does not have SPF but otherwise seems to be a great moisturizer and primer.
Beauty Protector Body Cleanser, full size $19, value of sample $1.90. This is okay.

Costal Scents Revealed 3 sample pallet, full size $24, value of sample $1.92. These colours are quite pretty.
Cynthis Rowley Illuminator, full size $32, value of sample $4. I was stocked to see this as I'm really loving the eyeliner from earlier this year, and I would have bought more if I didn't have half a dozen Julep gel lines. The bottle for this sample is very different than the click pen of the full size. I tried this and squeezed so much out that I looked like Data.

The revealed pallet really lacks in pigmentation or I have been really spoiled by indies. It's a bit of a bummer for me as I like these four shades. I'll have to try again over primer.

Second angle on the swatches.

I'm not sure if you can truly appreciate how shiny the illuminator made me. It would have taken the hours to assemble Data's look to seconds. That said, it is illuminating, and needs to be used from the sample size with a very light hand. Only a drop is needed.

My June Birchbox had six items and an estimated value of $31, or $33.60 with the bonus item. I think Birchbox has really been able to select samples I don't know about, yet fit well within my life. Use my link and check them out if you haven't.

Birchbox May 2015

BirchBox is a sample beauty box that arrives every month.

This month has a gorgeous box. Way better than the plain brown last month.

Anything that says "Cupcakes" is an absolute win.

This card looks so pretty! It's supporting the second book by Cupcakes and Cashmere.

Here's the important information of what's inside.

There's my BirchBox, but uh-ho! I see a wee mess.

Benefit It's Potent! I was wanting to try this, and I love the sample sizes. $8.

BeeKind Body Lotion. This smells great and is a very light lotion. It's a 30 mL sample, $2.38.

Number 4 Non-aerosol Hair Sprary. 1 oz sample, estimated value $5.10. This is a perfect size for travel, and I'm looking forward to using this.

Whish Shave Cream, 22 mL sample, estimated value $3.23.

I'm a bit disappointed my lip crayon exploded but the mess could have been waaaay worse. This is half a full size, value $11.

My May BirchBox had a total of ~$29.71. As seems to be the case for BirchBox, it's skin care heavy. What I like is that I'm going to try all of these products and many are ones that wouldn't have caught my eye. Please use my link if you're looking to try BirchBox

What did you get this month? How are you liking BirchBox Canada?

Birch Box Review - April

Although this is posted in May, I did received it in the final week in April.

Yey! BirchBox! A $14.95 Canadian subscription box of 5 beauty products to sample. Birchbox has been (back?) in Canada for five months now.

A very pretty card explaining my beautiful plain brown box is from the Rifle Paper Co. This company looks amazing. If I were back at work, I'd probably be splurging on many items currently in the Birchbox store.

My information card. The products were reasonably priced this month (full sizes all in the $20 range) with nice product sizes.

The look of my box - matching shampoo and conditioner (they get it! they really get it) and the newest mascare from benefit - Roller Lash. This is supposed to have inspiration from things like porcupine quills to grip and curl your lashes. I am looking forward to seeing if this works for me and if it might just last longer than they're real.

Body was from Not Soap Radio in "Bathing with Sharks" and Jelly Pong Glow Getter highlight. I hope this highlight packaging works better for me that the benefit high-beam so I can actually bend it into my skin for a natural look.

*Love!*

What I love about this BirchBox was it included stuff I need (shampoo, conditioner and body wash), something adorable (body wash), something for fun (highlight) and something that I should be replacing often and that I really wanted to try out (mascara). Nothing in this box won't be tested, three will things will be used, and I've already bough the full size of one of these items.

How are you liking your BirchBox? Were you happy with your products too?

Birch Box Canada February

Birch Box - a monthly subscription box for $14.95. This is going to be short and sweet because, well, renovations.
Arrived! Yey!

Very cute inside box.

Noir Long Wear Eyeliner and Whish body lotion.

Mereadesso lotion. This caused me to break out last time, I'll be pawning this off gifting it to someone.

Cynthia Rowley lip stain and Color Club Art Duo Pen in Black.

The complete box.

Showing the dotting tool and my roughed up renovation nails. It dots/draws well! Yes, my nails are ugly, but we're getting it done.

I don't quite have time to calculate. I paid $14.95 for this box, and I can easily say the value is double that. Follow the link if you want to give Birch Box a try!

Birch Box Canada January review

Birchbox is a subscription box new to Canada for $14.95 per month including shipping. What I love is the cost is in Canadian dollars which makes me much more comfortable should I buy from the birch box store. I know what I'm actually paying.

First, I LOVE this box. It's so cute, I'm definitely going to use it again.

There are five samples. The little ones come in a separate cute (but environmental wasteful) hotel box.

Beauty Protector Protect and Heat Hair Mask. Full size, $30. I received two samples to test.

Tocca Crema de Mano in Celopatra. Full size $10-$20. Sample size 30 mL. I am allergic to one of the ingredients in here so this will be given away.

Embryolisse Lait-Cream Concentre, Full size $16-28, sample size 5 mL. Apparently this moisturize is both a primer and a make-up remover. Seems contradictory to me, but I'll try it out. Kudos to the "Embryo" = youth naming of the company.

ModelCo Party Proof Lipstick from Dusk til Dawn collection, set of 3 for $20, one for $6.80. I forgot to take a picture of this beautiful nude shade. I love it! I don't like/wear lipstick but choose gloss or chapstick. Until now.

Joie Folle fe Joie eau de parfum, full size $116. Blend of mandarin, rose and sandalwood. I think I like this, but I'll have to test it a few more times.

I didn't calculate the total for January's Birchbox, but I'm certain I recieved my value. Birchbox has a program where you can review the products for points that can be used in the shop. You can earn a total of 10 points per item for a total of 50 or $5 off per each box. I'm really looking forward to my year with Birchbox.
